FAMILY LIFE DAY

Family Life Day is an annual Sunday each fall dedicated to the celebration of FAMILY - God's family, our church family, and our individual and unique personal families. This special day has become a wonderful way of welcoming back the school year while focusing on the future of our church, the children! Planning is underway for this day of fellowship and fun. BABY DEDICATION
What is baby dedication?
The precedent for the ceremony of baby dedication may be found in Holy Scripture, as in the presentation of Samuel by Hannah, and of Jesus by Joseph and Mary. Paul reminded Timothy that “from a child” he had known the Holy Scriptures. Jesus considered “the little ones” infinitely precious and he said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, forbid them not; for of such is the Kingdom of God.”
The purpose of baby dedication is really to be found in the commitment of the parents. Rightly understood, the ceremony is one of parental dedication. The parents are pledging themselves to obey the command of Paul, “provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” This ceremony has little meaning unless parents dedicate themselves as well as their child, to God.
How can my family participate? We would love to include your family in an upcoming Baby Dedication (October 17). Parents must notify the Family LIfe Department of their interest in dedicating their child prior to their participation on a specific Dedication Sunday.
FALL FESTIVAL FAMILY CARNIVAL

Join us for our annual Fall Festival in late October. This family friendly carnival style event has fun for all ages. Costumes are encouraged, but no scary ones are allowed.
